Having worked in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for a decade, I have seen too many families suffer the unimaginable loss of a child. Very often these are the smallest of our babies, much too tiny for any traditional baby clothing.

To have to go out into the happy world of baby shopping in the midst of such grief to attempt to find something both special enough and small enough to lay your precious bundle to rest in… there just are not words for that pain.

In the search for something to do with my wedding gown that would have special meaning to me, I decided that I wanted to take my gown and remake it into gowns to gift to these parents for their little angels.

I am touched by the outpouring of kind words and offers after appearing in the Seattle Times article of 3/10/14*. Due to time and storage constraints I can only accept donations of personally owned wedding dresses and can only accept one wedding dress per donor. Thank you for your thoughtful consideration and support of Angel Gowns by Michelle.

I am located just north of Seattle Washington, USA. I have been blessed with a large network of seamstresses across the country and beyond helping to sew and distribute Angel Gowns as widely as possible. You may be directed to ship your gown out of state in order to provide a balance among the seamstresses and to provide Angel Gowns to as many communities as possible. Thank you for your support!
